An integrated smart home technology upgrade combining Control4 automation, native 4K cinema, video-over-IP distribution, entry and security systems, managed Wi-Fi 6 networking and C-Bus lighting integration.

This residential technology upgrade is designed to bring home entertainment, lighting integration, networking and security into a coordinated Control4 environment. The supplied proposal documents a CORE 5 central controller, dedicated room controls, 4K video distribution and professional networking equipment.
The theatre scope includes Sony native 4K projection and Integra surround-sound processing. The wider specification covers smart entry, camera surveillance, an upgraded alarm, Wi-Fi 6 access points and integration with existing C-Bus lighting.
The project photography also showcases a feature starlight ceiling. Its supply and installation are not itemised in the accompanying upgrade proposal, so the visual feature is kept distinct from the documented equipment scope.

This project illustrates BLUTEK’s integrated approach to a major residential technology upgrade. Rather than treating entertainment, control, cameras and networking as isolated products, the specification brings these components together around a planned technology infrastructure.
The proposed scope includes controller and Media-over-IP programming, commissioning of networking, alarm and intercom systems, theatre projector and audio calibration, and Control4 integration with compatible C-Bus lighting.
Actual as-installed models, upgrade quantities and commissioning outcomes should be confirmed against final handover records. The home theatre photography documents the project’s architectural presentation, while the proposal details the specified technology upgrades.
THE SMART HOME EXPERIENCE
The goal of a modern smart home is not a collection of different apps and remotes. It is a coordinated experience where compatible entertainment, lighting, access and other connected systems can be managed through convenient interfaces.
For this upgrade, BLUTEK specified central and room-level Control4 controllers alongside remotes and touchscreens. This gives the system a structured control foundation that can be programmed around suitable everyday scenes and room-specific requirements.

CONTROL4 AUTOMATION
A Control4 CORE 5 controller forms the proposed main automation platform. Three black Halo remotes and two single-room bundles using CORE Lite and Halo were also specified to support dedicated room interactions. Three 10-inch Wi-Fi 6 wall touchscreens appear in the intercom upgrade scope as additional interface points.
These technologies are designed to put compatible functions within reach, whether controlling entertainment equipment from a sofa or operating approved features from a wall-mounted screen.
Central automation processing and supported-device integration.
Dedicated room-level control platforms and physical handheld interfaces.
Familiar tactile control for connected entertainment devices.
Fixed interaction points for suitable home control and entry functions.
THEATRE & VIDEO DISTRIBUTION
The documented theatre upgrade specifies a Sony XW5000 native 4K projector and Integra DRX-8.4 11.4-channel network AV receiver, with installation and projector/audio calibration included in the scope. Together they provide the core equipment platform for immersive large-screen entertainment.
Beyond the dedicated theatre, BLUTEK proposed Binary 900 Series 4K Media-over-IP technology: three transmitters and eight receivers. This approach is intended to make compatible video sources available at different display locations over a correctly configured network, without placing a separate source device in every room.
The existing images showcase the theatre and its starlight ceiling. The ceiling lighting itself is not part of the attached itemised upgrade scope.
Native 4K projection for a dedicated cinema environment.
Network AV receiver for multi-channel home theatre audio.
4K Media-over-IP source distribution across compatible displays.
Professional configuration and calibration as specified in the proposal.
SECURITY & ACCESS
The security and entry upgrade specifies two door chimes with facial-recognition capability, a NESS DPlus alarm system with KPX keypad and sixteen Dahua 5MP fixed turret cameras. Installation and commissioning are included for the relevant systems.
The specification provides a strong foundation for intercom communication, intrusion monitoring and camera surveillance. Actual alerting, viewing permissions, recording and remote access depend on the final installed configuration and the homeowner’s preferences.
Two specified entry stations with facial-recognition capability.
Intrusion alarm upgrade with KPX keypad.
Sixteen 5MP fixed turret cameras specified for surveillance coverage.
Installation, testing and configuration of the proposed security equipment.

NETWORK & CONNECTIVITY
The network design specifies an Araknis managed Gigabit 48-port PoE switch and seven Araknis 520 Series Wi-Fi 6 indoor wireless access points. This infrastructure is intended to support automation, connected devices, streaming and the wider Media-over-IP system.
A reliable smart home depends on correct wired connectivity, sensible wireless access-point placement and coordinated network programming — not simply the number of devices installed.
LIGHTING INTEGRATION
The proposal includes a C-Bus integration module and Control4 lighting programming, allowing supported lighting controls to be considered as part of the broader smart-home interface.
This is specifically an integration scope. The proposal excludes lighting and LED-strip rough-in, as well as installation of Control4 dimmers, relays, enclosures, keypads and related bus contacts, unless separately agreed.
BLUTEK’S APPROACH
Technology upgrades of this size require coordination between the system controller, room interfaces, sources, distribution equipment, network and building services. BLUTEK’s proposed works include controller programming, Media-over-IP installation and configuration, networking setup, security and intercom commissioning, and theatre calibration.
The value is in the complete architecture: selecting compatible products, planning their interaction and configuring them to suit the residence. Some other building-service integrations — including floor heating, pool control, irrigation, HVAC and fireplaces — are expressly outside this particular proposal unless otherwise scoped.
